Dirk T. Schmitt advises companies on strategic communications – especially in the context of M&A transactions, crisis management, and stakeholder positioning with politicians, the media, and investors. He has supported more than 60 national and international transactions and brings extensive experience from senior roles in both consulting and industry.
Before joining the communications consultancy, he served as Chief Representative of a DAX 30 company. Today, as Managing Director of an international strategic communications firm, he advises large companies in sensitive transformation processes – such as mergers, restructurings, or regulatory disputes – and is responsible for high-level communication with internal and external stakeholders.
Dirk studied political science in Mannheim and Munich, and business administration in St. Gallen (HSG) and Toronto. He has received multiple awards for his work, including the “Press Office of the Year” award from the Federal Association of German Press Officers. He is also actively involved on a voluntary basis in various associations, foundations, and academic organizations.
